Anything that plugs into a wall, or takes batteries (even if they are broken) will be accepted, excluding thermostats and light bulbs. Alkaline batteries can be recycled for $1/pound.
While many items can be recycled for free, there must be a charge for TVs, some computer monitors, and items containing Freon like refrigerators and AC units.
The fees are needed to dispose of the hazardous materials found in these items properly.

Town & Country Police Department, in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), will host this event to collect expired and unwanted prescription medication. According to DEA statistics, approximately 60% of heroin users started abusing prescription pain killers from a parent’s or relative’s medicine cabinet before trying heroin. Improper disposal of these medications can lead to the contamination of public water sources. These collection events help to avoid the improper use or abuse of these medications and keeps them out of our watershed, allowing for a safe and proper disposal method.
ITEMS THAT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AT THIS EVENT:
Illegal drugs (Marijuana, Cocaine, etc.),
Sharps (Such as syringes, insulin pens, etc.),
Glass thermometers or other medical devices,
Bulk medication from businesses such as pharmacies, doctor’s offices, or hospitals. Only medication from individuals will be accepted.
