Campout Extra Info: One community campfire will be available in the evening if you want to bring hot dogs and/or s'mores, no personal fires. Small camping grills are allowed. Modern restrooms will be available throughout the night. Campsites will be marked with flags and are available first-come, first-served beginning at 5 PM on Friday June 3.
First-time camper tips to consider:
Use a camping checklist provided by REI or other vendor.
Bring a small cooler for drinks (chilled drinking fountain with water bottle filler available.) Alcohol is allowed, no glass.
If you drink coffee, think about the easiest way to accomplish it while camping-maybe canned cold coffee!
Make dinner easy with Subway, Jimmy John's, etc.
Prepackaged breakfasts like granola bars, apples, bananas. oranges, etc.
For children still in a crib at home, set up a pack-n-play inside the tent.
Electric is available in the pavilion for charging, heating a tea kettle for hot water in the morning, etc.
Catch and release fishing is available. No license is required for anyone under 16 or over 60 years.
Quiet hours will be in place and the playground will be closed from 9 PM - 7 AM.
