Town & Country Police Department
John R. Copeland, Chief of Police
On behalf of the men and women of the Town & Country Police Department, welcome to our website. Our professional, progressive and proactive police department is among the finest in the State of Missouri and consists of 34 sworn officers and an administrative staff of 11 civilians. Our men and women are dedicated keeping our community safe and providing first-class service and protection 24 hours a day.
The City of Town and Country proudly remains one of the safest places in St. Louis County, maintaining a crime rate lower than most communities. Our detectives consistently clear, or solve, 70% of crimes reported, well above the national average of 24%. Each year our police officers arrest over 500 intoxicated drivers, accounting for between 5-10% of DWI arrests in the entire State of Missouri. Our patrol officers are highly visible, providing preventative patrol and quick response to over 12,000 calls for service each year.
Our entire staff is comprised of a group of men and women who are dedicated to fulfilling the department’s mission and who are committed to maintaining the high quality of life that has become commonplace in Town & Country.
