Parks and Recreation
The City of Town & Country Parks and Recreation Department manages the City's beautiful parks system and provides various city events throughout the year.
FALL FESTIVAL with FIREWORKS - SATURDAY, OCTOBER 18 - 4 - 7 pm
This year, Fall Festival will have all of the fun features of our traditional Fall Festivals, with a few changes. In order to accomodate the fireworks that had to be cancelled at our summer Fire & Ice event, the Fall Festival is moving to late afternoon, and the location for most of the activities will be the area east of the intersection of Mason and Clayton Roads. Details are below:
4 - 6 PM Pony rides at Longview Farm Park (fund raiser for Equine Assisted Therapy)
4 - 7 PM Restaurants and sponsor booths on the area just east of Mason Woods Village
4 - 7 PM Pumpkin Patch and crafts for children
4 - 7 PM Bounce houses on Principia property

Each park has paved and unpaved trails, picnic pavilions, playgrounds, plus other unique features such as a fishing lake and athletic fields. The park picnic pavilions are available to Town & Country residents and Town & Country businesses at each of the 3 city parks: Drace Park, Longview Farm Park and Preservation Park.

The Department relies on two full-time staff members, two part-time staff, and many volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering to work an event or a community work day in the park please sign up via e-mail.
