The City of Town & Country Parks and Recreation Department manages the City's beautiful parks system and provides various city events throughout the year.
Each of the parks have paved and unpaved trails, picnic pavilions, playgrounds, plus other unique features such as a fishing lake and athletic fields. The park picnic pavilions are available to Town & Country residents and Town & Country businesses at each of the 3 city parks: Drace Park, Longview Farm Park and Preservation Park.

Athletic teams may rents fields at Preservation/Cadet Park. The fields are allocated through a lottery permit system. Two lotteries are held each year. A Spring/Summer Lottery is held in January and a Fall Lottery is held in July. Click to download a lottery permit application. Residents are welcome to use the fields during unreserved times on a first-come, first-served basis - free of charge.
The Department relies on two full-time staff members, a few part-time seasonal staff, and many volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering to work an event or a community work day in the park please sign up via e-mail.
Parks and Recreation events are published in the City Newsletter and on this website. The City Newsletter is mailed to residents each Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring. The Newsletter is mailed to all residents. If you do not receive a newsletter and would like to, please call 314-432-6606.
