Parks and Recreation

The City of Town & Country Parks and Recreation Department manages the City's beautiful parks system and provides various city events throughout the year.

Each of the parks have paved and unpaved trails, picnic pavilions, playgrounds, plus other unique features such as a fishing lake and athletic fields. The park picnic pavilions are available to Town & Country residents and Town & Country businesses at each of the 3 city parks: Drace Park, Longview Farm Park and Preservation Park.

Two resident advisory commissions provide input to the Board of Aldermen regarding the Parks and Recreation Department. For more information regarding these commissions, please click on the Conservation and Historic Preservation Commission or the Parks and Trails Commission.

The Department relies on two full-time staff members, a few part-time seasonal staff, and many volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering to work an event or a community work day in the park please sign up via e-mail.

Parks and Recreation events are published in the City Newsletter and on this website. The City Newsletter is mailed to residents each Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring. The Newsletter is mailed to all residents. If you do not receive a newsletter and would like to, please call 314-432-6606.
