Liquor Licenses

The city limits the number of liquor licenses issued for each licensing classification. The license year begins on July 1st and ends on June 30th of the following year.

The Board of Aldermen has authorized the following license classifications, number of licenses within each classification, and license fees:
  • Sale of All Liquor by the Drink
    Number of Licenses: 17
    License Fee: $450
  • Sunday Sale of Liquor by the Drink
    Must Have Valid Weekday License
    License Fee: $300
  • Sale of Malt Liquors and Light Wine By the Drink
    Number of Licenses: 2
    License Fee: $52.50
  • Sale of 3.2% Beer By the Drink
    Number of Licenses: 2
    License Fee: $37.50
  • Sale of All Packaged Liquor
    Number of Licenses: 6
    License Fee: $150
  • Sunday Sale of Packaged Liquor
    Must Have Valid Weekday License
    License Fee: $300
  • Sale of Packaged Malt Liquor
    Number of Licenses: 1
    License Fee: $22.50
  • Twenty-Two Percent Manufacturer-Beer or Wine
     Number of Licenses: 1
     License Fee: $200.00

Temporary License
A temporary liquor license must be obtained for the sale of liquor by the drink, by a church, school, civic or charitable club or organization, at a picnic, bazaar, fair or similar gathering. There is a $15 fee per permit.
